Finally, after 30 years of fundraising and planning by the community in Langford Budville, and with extra financial help from the Big Lottery, our magnificent Jubilee Hall was built then officially opened by HRH Prince Edward on 15 October 2012.
The Hall, which stands on the edge of the village with fields on three sides, has easy access from the surrounding towns and villages, and is a perfect venue for a multitude of events and activities.
Its facilities include a main hall that seats over 200 people theatre style or 150 around tables, a committee room seating 30 and a large well equipped kitchen, plus a spacious foyer and cloakroom. Outside there is a gravelled patio and grassed terrace plus all important parking for over 40 cars.
It’s therefore not surprising that the hall has been a great success, holding a multitude of weekly activities such as art, bridge, brownies and guides. Also sport and fitness classes, including yoga, pilates, zumba, karate and short mat bowls, keep the local community and those from the surrounding area in the peak of condition!
People also come from far and wide to attend events, shows, conferences and training days and the hall has hosted many marvellous parties and weddings. One of the beauties of the building is its flexibility: the main hall can be transformed to suit the wildest dreams of a bride and groom or party giver.
